--Written Guide--
Story Mode (Level 70)
- Difficulty: Easy.
- Duration: Medium.
- His basic attacks cause firewall -> avoid.
- He has 4 stages: greatsword, hammer, axe? and dagger.
- Greatsword: Whirldwind Attack (insta-gib if poor defense, mobile) -> immobilize right before attack (predict).
- Hammer: Knockback -> stun-breaker.
- Axe?: Shoots bolts, try to dodge.
- Dagger: Cloaks (teleports too?) and attack similarly as with Greatsword (much weaker though) -> keep recalling him for quick targetting.
- Wait patiently, effigies wake-up one by one.
- About 10 Flame Slimes will spawn at Waypoint -> wait to kill or rush in to skip.
- Spawns exploding imps (burning) -> kill fast or just avoid.
- Ambush at next bridge (one player should run to the bridge to trigger).
- Shoots fire balls (dodge), calls firestorms (avoid), burns everything in large radius (ranged swap).
- Condition removal to remove Burning.
- 1-2 players should stay near Acolytes (won't respawn). When their shield goes down they will quickly heal the flame effigy.
- Wait for balls to break on Logans forcefield. Throw hearts at the boss to damage and make him vulnerable.
- Dodge balls, destroy walls (or just skip by jumping near edges).
- Regen at forcefield.
- Bring condition removal and mobility.
Explorable Mode (Level 75)
- Path 1 (Effigy): Easy path. 10-30 minutes with decent team.
- Path 2 (Magg): Easy path. 25-40 minutes with decent team.
- Path 3 (Tribune): Medium path. Requires some coordination. 45-60 minutes with decent team.
First boss
- Whip: Melee with medium damage.
- Veteran Effigy wakes up after ~1 minute.
- Ignore.
- Skippable (not good rewards).
- Goal is to kill respawning Acolytes until timer (very long) runs out.
- Focus Acolytes when they respawn. Run around the room while waiting.
- You need to get three flames past the boulders (be quick, they don't last long).
- Portal skills help a lot (Mesmer Portal or portal-gun). - Proceed carefully, rushing gets you killed. Dodging needs good timing so try avoid it.
- Go naked to avoid repair bill.
- 4 players approach their own brazers at the same time to open door and keep kiting/killing.
- Last player goes in and destroys gate-lock as quickly as possible while surviving Silver-enemy.
- By standing on torch you can jump over the gate to enter the area premately. Pull Veteran enemy away from the gate-lock.
- You should deal high damage to deal with lock and have a stun-breaker to deal with Silver-enemy (unless pulled away).
- Bring offense.
- If you have issues bring Poison and kill crystals.
- Flamethrower: Channel with low damage ticks. Inflicts Burning?.
- Bolts: Low damage. Knockdown.
- Dodge. - Big AoE: Low damage.
- AoE-rings: AoE with medium damage. Knockdown.
- Avoid.
Defusing the bomb
- Bring mobility.
- One player should wait at Magg while other players go near furthest bombs. The player talks to Magg when everyone is ready.
- Bring mobility.
- Extinquish flames with extinquisher. Get past. Jump to rock to make Magg teleport to you.
- If this fails keep your extinquisher, it might be necessary to revive Magg!
- Players with NPC-reviving abilities can revive Magg while he is on fire. Use his short moment to grab an extinquisher from him! - Teleport to "Shrine of Sacrifice" waypoint.
- Focus on Assassins.
- Sync kill Acolytes ("ready" -> "kill").
- Alternatively just kill. - Attack the stone.
- Melee can't hit unless jumping (so use ranged).
Torches
- To remove the barrier you need to lit 3 torches at the same time.
- Torches are guarded by 3? enemies with short respawn timer.
- Everyone clears 2? enemies and leaves 1 alive (prevents respawning). Once done they signal it with "ready", "r", etc.
- If you fear your dps is lacking you may weaken the last enemy and tank it (zig-zag to avoid shots). - Leader says "go" when everyone has signaled their readiness.
- Everyone clears the last enemy, goes to the torch and signals "clear", "c", etc.
- Leader says "light" when everyone has signaled their clearness.
- Everyone lights their torch.
- Focus on normal enemies.
- After bridge wait for mortars to clear huge enemy group.
- Focus on surviving.
- Get out of combat for quick regeneration. - Leave 2 enemies alive if you need to catch-up with healing or resurrect NPCs.
- Go naked to avoid repair bill.
- Being near a lit bomb explodes it after a short fuse (dodge).
- First three bombs are trivial.
- On long corridor avoid single bombs. When you get surrounded by red circles, wait ~0.2 seconds and dodge backwards.
- Mobility, leaps, etc. may allow you to just rush through. - After traps use ranged to destroy "mortars".
- After "mortars" go to kill Drake (skip monsters if needed).
- Drake is soloable and spawns waypoint. This is extremely useful if some people can't make it past traps.
- Avoid dying on lava. It is near impossible to get revived.
- Bolas: Fast projectile with no damage. Inflicts Immobilized.
- Try to dodge. - Hammer-throw: Projectile with low damage. Knockbacks.
- Melee: Melee with medium damage. Launches.
- Stability/Stunbreaks to counter. - Turns invulnerable, goes to middle and spawns rock-waves (dodge).
